Cappucci Calls for Transparent Dialogue among all Syrians to Guarantee National Unity

May 15, 2012

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Patriarch of Jerusalem in exile, Hylarion Cappucci, condemned Damascus twin terrorist bombings which claimed the lives of innocent university students, children, men and women.

Cappucci said that this heinous crime targets Syria's people, state institutions, security and stability as well as to hinder the UN observer mission.

He added that the aim of these terrorist acts, the killing and spreading chaos is to eliminate Syria's capabilities and its role in defending the Arab rights and issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, in addition to its steadfastness against the implementation of a destructive imperialist Zionist scheme to create a new Middle East under their domination.

Cappucci stressed that Syria, under its wise leadership and the sacrifices of its army and the loyalty of its people, will face all conspiracies and will emerge out of it more stronger.

He called for a comprehensive transparent dialogue that ensures the Syrian people's national unity and dignity.
