DAMASCUS, SANA_ The General Staff of the Palestinian Liberation Army said that the Palestinian people' steadfastness and commitment to their land and identity proved to the whole world that they he will not accept to stay away from their homeland and will not give up their freedom.

In a statement on Monday marking the 64th anniversary of the usurpation of Palestine, the General Staff stressed that the Zionist terrorism and organized campaigns of Judaization, settlement and falsification of history will not deter the Palestinian people from continuing the struggle to achieve independence.

The statement commended the steadfastness of Palestinian detainees in the Israeli prisons and their struggle for their dignity to draw the world's attention to their plight since more that 60 years.

"The Palestinian people inside and in Diaspora have drawn the features of the victory by their refusal to humiliating solutions aiming at liquidating the Palestinian cause and circumventing the right of return," said the statement.

The General Staff reiterated commitment to land of Palestine and the Palestinian people's rights, underling support for Syria against the conspiracy facing it.
