DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Spokesman of the UN observers team in Syria Niraj Singh said that the mission concentrates on guaranteeing a complete and confirmed halt of violence in Syria with all its forms.
"The international observers' mission continues the monitoring process of what it sees in reality… this is exactly what will you see done by the observers whose number reached 70 so far, in addition to a specialized team to support the civilians," Singh said in a press statement in front of UNRWA in Damascus.
He added " the monitors visited yesterday al-Zara village in Homs.. there are several numbers of them in Homs, Hama, Daraa and Idleb."
International Observer Teams Continue Tour in Damascus Countryside and Homs
A delegation of the international observers monitoring the ceasefire in Syria, which is part of a six-point peace plan brokered by UN envoy Kofi Annan, on Sunday visited Madaya and Serghaya towns in Damascus Countryside and met a number of their people.
The delegation also visited the city of al-Zabadani and talked with the residents.
Meanwhile, another delegation toured al-Khaldiyeh and al-Bayadeh neighborhoods in Homs City and Talbiseh in Homs Countryside.
