Damascus (SANA) President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday discussed with Qatari Prime Minister and Foriegn Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jabor Al-Thani latest developments in the Middle East mainly in the Palestinian arena.
The two sides also discussed preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit due in Libya later this month and the need that this summit comes out with effective decisions on Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause in line with Arab hopes and aspirations.
The tow sides reiterated the importance of working together to boost Arab solidarity and activate joint Arab action to face present challenges.
They also reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means for developing them in all domains.
The meeting was attended be Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem.
President al-Assad on January 29th discussed with Qatar Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani in Doha latest regional developments and issues to be discussed in the Arab Summit in addition to bilateral relations between Syria and Qatar.
