Aleppo, Northern Syria (SANA) – Archbishop of Jerusalem in exile Hilarion Capucci called on Saturday for adhering to Jerusalem as a capital of the Palestinian state and confronting the constant Israeli attempts at Judaizing the city and distorting its cultural and historic features.
During his meeting with Governor of Aleppo Ali Ahmad Mansoura, Archbishop Capucci said that peace is a strategic choice for Arabs, but Israel doesn't want peace and considers itself above international law.
He called on Arabs to support the Palestinian cause and put an end to the daily Israeli transgressions committed against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank, and revitalizing the Arab boycott of Israel.
The Archbishop also lauded the national unity in Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, affirming that he will continue to carry out his duties in exile by calling for defending the Palestinian cause and liberating Jerusalem.
