Moscow, SANA – Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated that Russia believes that the solution for the crisis in Syria can only be a political solution, and that his country supports the states that contribute to holding intra-Syrian dialogue.

In a speech during the receiving of ambassadors’ credentials on Wednesday, Putin said that the only way to end crisis in Syria, return the displaced to their homes, and rebuild economy is through political dialogue, and that this is the principle that guides Russia when it comes to resolving the crisis in Syria.

He also reiterated his calls for forming a unified front for fighting terrorism.

On another note, Putin congratulated Donald Trump for winning the US presidential elections, noting that Moscow heard Trump’s calls for rebuilding relations with Russia and it’s ready to move in this direction.
