Aleppo, UNICEF discuss enhancing cooperation in relief sector

Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Governor Hussein Diab discussed on Wednesday with Hanaa Singer, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Resident Representative in Syria, the state of relief and humanitarian work in the province and means to enhance cooperation to provide assistance for affected families.

Singer pointed out that her visit to Aleppo aims at following up on the various aspects of the work carried out by UNICEF in the province, adding that the UNICEF plan in Aleppo includes digging 100 well, with 70 of them having been been accomplished, and the distribution of 100,000 school bags, 40,000 of them having already been distributed, in addition to providing 100 prefabricated classrooms.

The plan also includes maintaining 49 schools and distributing 100,000 bags full with winter clothes for kids in addition to carrying out a number projects in health fields.
