Hasaka Governorate, ICRC discuss enhancing cooperation in services sector

Hasaka, SANA – Hasaka Governor Mohammad Zaal al-Ali discussed on Monday with deputy head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Syria Beatrice Oechsli and the accompanying delegation means to enhance cooperation, mainly in the services sector.

The Governor hailed the efforts of the humanitarian organizations, particularly the ICRC, in supporting the services sector in Hasaka province, which reflect positively on the living conditions for citizens and contribute to alleviating the suffering caused by the blockade imposed on the province by terrorist organizations.

He stressed the necessity of enhancing cooperating between the governorate and the ICRC, particularly in offering services to rural areas through repairing the electric power grid and maintaining water wells, bread production plants, and medical centers, as well as supplying the dispensary in the city of Hasaka with medical equipment to turn it into a hospital that will provide medical services to locals.

In turn, Oechsli pointed out that the Committee provided Hasaka province with 2 electric generators, one with a capacity of 1650 KV and the other with a capacity of 1000 KV, adding that the two generators are dedicated for Allok project which provides Hasaka with water and for Hasaka Mill.
