Moscow,SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned of the impossibility of solving the crises of the Middle East region in light of using terrorists as “pawns in the game of chess”, pointing out that the Russian air raids shook terrorists’ capabilities in Syria and pushed forward the process of settling the crisis there.
In a letter directed to the participants at the conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club titled “Middle East: From Violence to Safety” read by his Deputy Mikhail Bogdanov, Lavrov said that the US statements on the availability of some plan B give rise to concern. We know nothing about it.”
For his part, Bogdanov clarified in his presentation that Moscow doesn’t discuss alternative plans to settle the crisis in Syria, wondering on what was issued by some western partners including the United States about the plan B which Moscow didn’t know anything about it.
The two day International conference in Moscow aims to discuss the situation in the Middle East and the ways of resolving the current crisis, where more than 100 political and clerical figures, including Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban, are taking part in the forum organized by the Valdai International Discussion Club.
