Syrian Businessmen gearing up to open commercial centers abroad

Damascus, SANA – A group of 11 businessmen are gearing up to open commercial centers in a number of countries around the world to support the national economy and face the unjust economic siege imposed on Syria.

Samer Rebatah, one of the group’s members, told SANA that the group will work to coordinate among industry, trade, and agriculture sectors and will organize projects to revitalize national economy and support the Syrian Pound.

The commercial centers, Rebatah added, will be opened in Egypt, Algeria, Venezuela, and South Africa, while other centers will be opened in Dubai and Germany in the near future, and these centers will include various Syrian products including handicrafts, textiles, and food products, with focus on the products that Syria is renowned for.

Rebatah affirmed that the group has an integrated work program that will be announced in the near future by the centers’ supervisors, highlighting that the aim of this activity is to enhance the competitiveness of Syrian products and take advantage of the high demand for them abroad.
