Iranian humanitarian and relief aid arrives to Damascus

Damascus Countryside, SANA- A shipment carrying 8 tons of humanitarian and relief aid arrived in Damascus International Airport on Wednesday. The aid is offered by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).

The aid comes in the framework of continuous cooperation between the IRCS and SARC as a gift offered by the Iranian parliamentary delegation who is currently visiting Syria to the Syrian people, said Hussein Bayami, an IRCS official in a statement to SANA.

He pointed out that today’s shipment is part of a 40-ton aid convoy that includes blankets and kitchen tools.

Bayami stressed the Iranians’ keenness to continue to help the Syrians affected by terrorist attacks in Syria.

The arrival of the aid coincides with a visit of an Iranian parliamentary delegation to Syria, headed by Chairman of the Iranian Shura Council’s Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
