Brussels, SANA – Members of the Syrian community in Belgian organized on Sunday an event to express support for Syria in its battle against foreign-backed terrorism.
The participants, who were accompanied by Belgians, Europeans, and members of Arab communities living in Brussels, gathered in front of the Syrian Embassy in the Belgian capital, carrying Syrian flags and pictures of President Bashar al-Assad.
The participants observed a moment of silence in honor of Syria’s martyrs.
In statements to SANA, the participants said that everyone knows that there is a terrorist war against Syria that benefits only those with no reason or insight, adding that the United States and its western and regional pawns are targeting Syria in a bid to break the axis of resistance and to protect Israel, employing terrorists to achieve this goal.
They said that this event seeks to send a message to the world’s governments and media that Syrians in Belgium support the Syrian state under the leadership of President al-Assad and support the Syrian Arab Army in its battle against terrorism.
