Homs Governor: plans to repair damages in oil wells of al-Shaer field

Homs, SANA – Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi said plans were set to repair and

rehabilitate the oil and gas wells in Homs countryside to resume production as soon as possible.

Al-Barazi, during a tour to Jazal 1 and Mazrour oil fields in al-Shaer Mount on Tuesday, al-Barazi said committees started to assess the damages in these wells, adding that the production will be resumed in the few coming weeks.

He hailed sacrifices offered by the Syrian army against terrorists who had
committed vandalism acts in these fields, supported by Turkish oil companies with
the aim of smuggling the crude oil illegally to Turkey.
