39 weak quakes reported over 24 past hours

Damascus, SANA- The National Earthquake Center has announced that the number of shakes recorded over the 24 past hours till Sunday 8:00 a.m. has amounted to 39 weak quakes.

“The stations of the National Earthquake Center recorded a 3.2 magnitude earthquake 33 km northwest of Lattakia, in addition to a 3 magnitude quake, 56 km east of Hasaka city, and a 2.8 magnitude quake 76 km northwest of Palmyra,” The center stated in a statement.

The center added that 20 weak quakes ranging between 1.5 and 4 magnitudes were reported in Liwa Iskenderun and 16 tremors ranging between 2.1 and 4.8 magnitudes were recorded in the Turkish territory.
