Messages of solidarity and support for Syria from leaders of Arab and foreign countries

Damascus, SANA-President Bashar Al-Assad received more messages of solidarity and support from the leaders of Arab and foreign countries due to the earthquake that hit Syria.

Tunisian President Kais Saied voiced sincere solidarity and sympathy, affirming Tunisia’s readiness to stand by the Syrian people in this disaster and to provide aid and fraternal assistance to overcome its consequences.

Furthermore, Daniel Ortega President of Nicaragua also expressed his country’s solidarity with the Syrian people and its support for the efforts exerted by Syrian institutions to overcome the impacts of this disaster and provide relief to the areas affected.

In addition, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, offered President al-Assad his sincere condolences and sympathy, asking God to bestow mercy on the victims and to grant their families and relatives patience and solace, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, for his part extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the earthquake victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un, also extended his heartfelt condolences, expressing his confidence that the Syrian government and people will overcome the damages of this disaster.

His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Vatican, expressed in his message to President al-Assad his deep sorrow for the great loss of lives left by the earthquake, saying that he would pray for the comfort of the souls of the victims as well as the solidarity of efforts to provide relief to those affected by the disaster.

Karekin II, the Great Patriarch, Catholicos of All Armenians, expressed his regret over the Syrian people’s exposure to this catastrophe, praying for the peace of the souls of all the dead and a speedy recovery for all the injured.
