Syrian films gain three awards at Carthage Film Festival, Tunisia

Damascus, SANA-Syria has won three awards at the 33rd edition of the Carthage Film Festival(CFF), which concluded its activities yesterday in the Tunisian capital.

The feature film titled “The Road”, directed and written by Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid in partnership with Adel Mahmoud, and produced by the General Film Institute, won the Audience Award.

In the short documentary competition, the documentary titled “High People”, directed by Firas Mohamed, won the Gold Tanit Award.

While artist Muwaffaq al-Ahmad won the Best Actor Award for his role in the feature film “The Road”.

The Carthage Film Festival, whose activities began on the 29th of last month, witnessed a remarkable presence of Syrian artists, during which the gifted artist Mona Wassef and Abdel Mon’ayem Amayri were honored in recognition of their distinguished artistic career.
