Mikdad discusses with Azerbaijani and Eritrean counterparts the challenges facing developing countries

New York, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov ,  on sidelines of the 77th session of the U N General Assembly (UNGA 77) , the agenda of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The two Ministers  Mikdad and Bayramov affirmed the need to boost the Non-Aligned Movement ‘s work with regard to issues of interest to member states and to coordinate between its countries in various international forums in a way that serves the common interests of its members.

Minister Mikdad also met with Eritrean counterpart Osman Saleh Mohammed , and they discussed the challenges facing developing countries and how to unite efforts to confront these challenges, especially in light of the tense international situation caused by Western countries.

For his part,minister Saleh expressed his country’s support for Syria’s efforts in combating terrorism and confronting unilateral coercive measures.

The two sides affirmed the necessity of building a multipolar world based on respect for international law, non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and respect for their sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, stressing the need to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
