Russian-Ukrainian negotiations kick off in Belarus

Minsk, SANA- Russian-Ukrainian negotiations on the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine kicked off in Belarus today.

Sputnik Agency, quoting its correspondent, stated that the two sides are in an area close to the Ukrainian-Belarusian border near the bank of the Pripyat River.

The correspondent noted that the Ukrainian negotiating delegation had arrived in the Belarusian city of Gomel on board two helicopters in order to start the scheduled negotiations with the Russian side.

He added that the Ukrainian delegation includes the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs.

On Sunday, the Kremlin announced that the Russian delegation, headed by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, had arrived in Belarus for negotiations with the Ukrainians.
