Above-average temperatures, partly cloudy weather

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will slightly rise to become from 3 to 5 degrees above their average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by northwesterly air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general, with a chance for showers in the eastern regions.

At night, the weather will be cold, and frost is expected over the mountains while fog is expected in the central region, Qalamoun, and the Eastern Ghouta.

The winds will be westerly to northwesterly, moderate in speed, with active gusts exceeding 60 km per hour sometimes, and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major cities will be as follows: Damascus 19 / 8,    Aleppo 18 / 6  ,  Homs   17 / 6  , Lattakia 18 / 9 ,  Tartous 18 / 10.
