More than 360 thousand people received COVID-19 vaccine, Health Ministry says

Damascus, SANA- The number of people who have completely received COVID-19 vaccine in Syria has reached more than 360 thousand.

Meanwhile, the number of those who received the first dose of the vaccine has reached more than 539,000, provided that the second dose will be given to them on time according to the type of each vaccine, according to Director of Health Care Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Razan Tarabishi.

In implementation of the decisions of the government taskforce concerned with measures to address the Coronavirus pandemic, the number of health centers and hospitals that provide the vaccine will be expanded to reach more than 967 centers and hospitals, in addition to allocating 200 mobile teams in villages and areas where there are no health centers in all provinces, Tarabishi told SANA.

She underlined the necessity to register to receive the vaccine through the electronic platform on the Ministry of Health website.

Dr. Al-Tarabishi called for taking all the required preventive measures such as wearing a mask and maintaining spatial distance, stressing that receiving the “free and safe” vaccine is the only way to preserve the safety and health of citizens.
