Damascus, SANA- People’s Assembly Speaker, Hammoudeh Sabbagh, announced that the People’s Assembly received on Tuesday twelve notifications from the Supreme Constitutional Court that Jihad Saleh al-Shakhir, Anisah Bashir Hammoush, Samir Ahmad Moulaa, Hussein Mohammad Jasem, Mohammad Srey Mohammad Nabil Qannout, Fatima Ukla al-Barko, Amal Mohamed Bashir Qaddour , Anwar Sajie Hassan,Adnan Anwar Shuja, Shayesh Hussain al-Khalif ,Tahseen Fawzi al-Muhammad, and Jalal Abdul Karim Ibrahim submitted applications to run for president, raising the total number of the submitted applications up to 41 till now.
On April 18th, Speaker of the People’s Assembly announced the commencement of candidacy for Presidential elections as of Monday April 19th till April 28th.
