Temperatures continue to drop, yet still above average

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop, yet they will remain from 3 to 8 degrees above average in most areas as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with an opportunity for scattered thundershowers over al-Jazeera region, while the weather will be misty with dusty conditions in the eastern and al-Badia (semi-desert) regions.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a low to moderate speed and active gusts, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 30/13, Daraa 23/12, Homs 24/11, Lattakia 24/14, Aleppo 28/12 and Deir Ezzor 33/19.
