Temperatures above average, showers expected

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will remain above average as the country is affected by a high air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general with a little opportunity for showers over the northern and al-Jazeera regions, while at night the weather will be cold, warning of fog in different regions.

The wind will be easterly to northeasterly with a low speed, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows:  Damascus 8/19, Daraa 10/21, Homs 5/15, Hasaka 8/16, Tartous 14/22, Aleppo 6/14, Idleb 7/14, Deir Ezzor 9/21
