Tehran. SANA _ Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem arrived in Tehran on Monday to take part in the International Conference on the World Against Extremism and Violence (WAVE) in the coming two days.
Minister al-Moallem is scheduled to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Jawad Zarif and Senior Iranian officials on bilateral relations and regional developments.
The conference will focus on the proposal made by Iranian President Hassan Rohani in the UN General Assembly last year on a “world free from violence and extremism”.
Foreign Ministers of Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nicaragua, Premiers and former foreign ministers from different states of the world to take part in the conference.
The WAVE Secretary-General Mostafa Zahrani said that results of the conference will be formed as suggestions to be submitted to the United Nations.
