Egyptian politician: American coercive measures against Syria is a crime against humanity

Cairo, SANA – Member of the Political Bureau of the Egyptian Nasserist Party and former MP Mohsen Attia affirmed that the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Syria, including the so called “Caesar Act,” are a major crime against the Syrians and all of humanity.

Attia said in statement to SANA reporter in Cairo that Washington is acting like a “thug” towards anyone who violates its colonialist plans, pointing out that Syria stood in the face of these plans and defeated the terrorism used by the United States and its allies as a tool to implement them, and therefore Washington imposed these unilateral measures in an attempt to undermine Syria’s steadfastness.

Attia stressed that the Syrian people understood the conspiracy against them and confronted it, noting that the recent People’s Assembly elections reflect the civilized and democratic facets of Syria.
