WHO registers a high record of coronavirus infections around the world

Geneva, SANA- World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday a high record of coronavirus infections with more than 284,000 new cases.

Reuters quoted the Organization as saying in a report issued on Friday that the infections’ toll increased during the last 24 hours to reach 15, 296, 926 cases which represents the largest daily increase in the infections per a day, and confirmed the WHO warning against the rapid spread of the Virus around the world.

The Organization said that the previous record was detected on July 18th with a total cases reached 259,848 ones.

WHO report indicated that the largest increase of infections was detected in the US, Brazil, India, and South Africa.

For the 2nd consecutive day, US registers a record with more than 70 thousand infections

More than 70,000 new cases in the US were reported on Friday for second-highest daily rise in coronavirus infections

The US New York Times newspaper said that Johns Hopkins University data unveiled that the total number of infections reached 4,248,327 cases, including 73,400 cases that were registered during the last 24 hours.

The death cases reached 1150 ones to raise the deaths number to 148,490 according to the statistic by Worldometer website.
