Photo exhibition in Czech Republic on Syrian archeological monuments sabotaged by terrorists

Prague, SANA- A photo exhibition on the Syrian archeological monuments that have been sabotaged by terrorist organizations was opened in Blovice near the Czech capital city of Prague in cooperation with Prague National Museum.

Director of the Museum underlined the importance of the Syrian archeological sites and their role in preserving and documenting the humanitarian history, expressing regret over the sabotage which these sites went through at the hands of Takfiri terrorists.

“Syria has always been the cradle of civilizations,” Charge de Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in Prague Bashar Aqbiq said, shedding light on the great efforts exerted by the Syrian government and those who work in the archeological domain to protect the archeological monuments and milestones which terrorist organizations tried to loot and sabotage.

Aqbiq added that many of those who work in the domain of archeology in Syria have been martyred while they were defending the civilization which belongs to all humanity.

He underlined the importance of the standing cooperation between the General Directorate for Antiquities and Museums in Syria and the National Museum in Prague.

The exhibition was attended by representatives of the National Museum and it witnessed a huge turnout by the Czech citizens who are interested in the archeology and culture and it will last till May 26th .
