Indian PM hopes Syria will win over terrorism

New Delhi, SANA – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that Syria will win its battle against terrorism.

Modi’s remarks came during a meeting with a Syrian delegation, headed by Minister of Communications and Technology Dr. Ali al-Zafir, participating in the 5th Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCCS).

Modi affirmed the importance of Syria’s participation in the activities of the Conference, held on November 20-21 in the Indian capital New Delhi in the presence of representatives from several countries.

For his part, Syrian Ambassador to India Riyadh Abbas expressed Syria’s appreciation to the government and people of India for their stand in support of Syria in its war on terrorism.

On the sidelines of the GCCS, al-Zafir met with Iranian communication Minister Mohammad-Javad Jahromi.

The Syrian delegation also met with a number of ministers and ambassadors participating in the Conference who expressed their satisfaction with the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.
