Nine schools under rehabilitation in Hama northern countryside

Hama, SANA – Rehabilitation works continued in nine schools that were damaged as a result of terrorist attacks in the areas of Souran, Tibet al-Imam and Maardes in the northern countryside of Hama province.

Hama Governor Mohammad al-Hazzouri told SANA reporter that the rehabilitation works started about a month ago and are aimed at providing a stable environment for about 2500 students.

He pointed out that about 700 stationary packages have been distributed to third grade students in Souran, Tibet al-Imam and Maardes areas to encourage students pursue their studies under the ongoing difficult circumstances.

Last July, hundreds of families who were forced to leave their villages in the northern countryside of Hama due to terrorist acts started to return to their homes after the Syrian Arab Army have restored security and stability to those areas.
