Update-Terrorists target Meharda power generating station with shells, kill a child

Hama, SANA – Terrorist groups targeted Hama’s Meharda Electricity Generating Station with a number of mortar shells, in a new violation of the de-escalation zone agreement reached during Astana meeting in mid-September.

SANA reporter said terrorists on Tuesday targeted the electricity station, which is located in Meharda town in the northern part of Hama province, with five mortar shells, causing damage to the generator and the turbines of the station.

He added that the shells were fired from the villages located on the administrative borders between Hama and Idleb.

Meanwhile, SANA reporter said that a child was killed, three others and two women were injured in a terrorist attack with 8 rocket shells on three houses in Asqilbeih city in Hama countryside.
