Shaaban: Enemies’ project defeated, all efforts come in interest of building the Syrian State

Damascus, SANA- Presidential Political and Media Advisor Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban stressed that Syria is working in the current stage on two directions, the first of which is the field situation to liberate every inch of the Syrian lands while the second is the political track as the Government exerts all possible efforts to stop the bloodshed in Syria and to put an end to the war.

Interviewed by the Syrian TV on Wednesday, Shaaban said that holding the Book Fair and Damascus International Fair reflects the rise in the public life in Syria and the attempt to revive the economic, cultural and social life in it.

She added that “the aggression and collusion against Syria, which they imagined that could undermine,  have finished and the attempts of division and invasion by Erdogan’s regime have ended, and the field and reality have proven that we are invincible and that we will liberate our country from terrorism.”

Shaaban asserted that the project of the enemies has been defeated and that all the military, political and social efforts come in the interest of launching a project of rebuilding the Syrian state.

She clarified that “all the indicators over the past two weeks such as the visits of the Arab delegations to Syria and the letters we have received affirm that the project of Syria is the project of all the Arab people, who are looking forwards to a real Arab project led by Syria in the near future that takes into consideration history and geography.”

Shaaban said that the harmony in the axis of resistance with regard to fighting terrorism is the real work that defeats the project of Zionism, Reactionism and Capitalism.

She asserted that the Kurds are a main component of the Syrian people and that most of them are patriots and they want Syria to be independent and they want to be active in  reconstructing it, while those who have been misled are not the majority.

One of the major problems which we are facing in the war against Syria is the attempt of the Western media to win the war even before it had started and its attempts to undermine the people from the inside through circulating rumors and spending millions of dollars for that purpose, Shaaban said.

She added that the battle of existence entails from us to be optimistic and determined in the worst circumstances as our history proves that.

Dr. Shaaban pointed out that “the issue of reopening Western embassies in Damascus does not worry us and the return of relations is looming and Syria is open to building relations with these countries.”

She added that circulating many rumors in media by the United States, which suffers structural divisions in its administration, is not convincing and that it doesn’t come in line with the reality and it targets our psychology and abilities.

“We have reached a multi-polar world and Russia is without any doubt is a fundamental pole, and when China enters the political track strongly in the coming years, the uni-polarity will be over,” said Dr. Shaaban.

Shaaban said “Israel is strong due to our weakness and not due to its strength,” clarifying that the participation of the Christians and Muslims in the events of al-Aqsa Mosque is the most dangerous thing that faces Israel.

She referred to the high turnout witnessed by the Book Fair, which embraces rich titles and contains a section for manuscripts which is part of the deeply-rooted Syrian cultural identity that has been a basis of steadfastness throughout this war.

Shaaban clarified that Syria’s enemies target its historical depth and its social co-living, adding that wars on Syria, Iraq and Palestine target the Arab and cultural identity.

Shaaban said “The coordination between the Syrian and Iraqi leaderships succeeded in defeating terrorism and as a result the US attacked the Syrian Army and this indicates that the geographic, cultural and historical bonds between our countries is a big target to our enemies.”

She stressed that “without the sacrifices of our martyrs, we would have been eradicated from our land, and our identity would have been undermined. “

Speaking about her new book “The Edge of the Abyss…A Document of Homeland” which she intends to sign on Thursday in the Damascus-based al-Assad Library, Dr. Shaaban clarified that the main goal of the book is to convey the reality to the Arab readers.

She added that the documents included in her book manifest a challenge to the story narrated by US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger as well as a correction of the political memory in the Arab world.
