Syrian expatriates launch project to offer psychological support for children in Syria

Lattakia, SANA – Members of the Syrian community in France launched a project to provide psychological support to Syrian children to help them cope with the effects of the crisis in Syria.

Dr. Rima Khleifawi, one of the project’s, members said that the team will tour housing centers in a number of provinces to offer psychological support to children, listening to their problems, caused by the unfair war imposed on Syria, and offering them counseling to overcome their psychological ordeals.

Dr. Rim Sharak, one of the psychologists, said that she came to apply what she learned in France in a project that serves her fellow Syrians, employing music, painting and handicraft to help children deal with psychological trauma and achieve personal growth.
